STEEL MAGNOLIAS – A comedy/drama about the bond that six women share in thishilarious and heart-warming story of life, love and loss in a small Louisiana town. Written by Robert Harling, the title suggests the characters can be both as delicate as the magnolia flower and as tough as steel. Recommended for all ages; however, small children may not find interesting.
Directed by Tegan Whited ~~ FEBRUARY 14-18, 2018
GREATER TUNA – A hilarious comedy about the fictitious town of Tuna, Texas (Texas’ third smallest town where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies), located in west Texas about halfway between San Angelo and Hell. Although the action takes place in the early eighties, nothing has changed since then.
This long-running Off-Broadway hit features two actors creating the entire population of Tuna in a tour de farce of quick change artistry, changing costumes and characterizations faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by these two performers, making this satire of life in rural America even more delightful as they depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna — men, women, children and animals!
Two actors, twenty characters and a barrel of laughs…Y’All!
Written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard. Recommended for all ages.
Directed by Lisa Green ~~ MARCH 21-25, 2018
